SPP and WEIM Grid-Level Forecasts
For SPP and WEIM, we now offer 14-day grid-level forecasts, updated hourly. You'll get a full week's more of data than what the ISO/market currently offers. This means you have access to more detailed and accurate information than ever before, allowing you to plan and adapt with confidence.
Data is only as valuable as your ability to interpret it. Our user-friendly platform provides highly interactive visualizations so you can easily find and gather insights to improve your operational decisions, including:
- Peak views: Get a clear understanding of when demand is expected to reach its zenith, helping you allocate resources efficiently and reduce costs.
- Historical forecasts: Explore past forecasts to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in your energy management strategies.
- ISO side-by-side forecast comparisons: Compare our forecasts directly with ISO forecasts, giving you a transparent view of our accuracy.
- Accuracy front and center: We provide Amperon's MAPE (alongside the ISO) for each hour so you can have confidence in your forecasts.

Net Demand Forecasts
Since rolling out net demand forecasts in ERCOT earlier this year, we're excited to expand those features into SPP and PJM. These forecasts provide you with:
- Net demand forecasts for the next 14 days: Easily visualize how much dispatchable generation is available 14 days out. That's 7 days more of data than SPP and ERCOT currently provide, and 12 days more than PJM!
- Comparison to Day-Ahead Forecasts: Gauge the accuracy of your energy management strategies by comparing our Net Demand Forecasts with day-ahead predictions.
- ISO's Net Demand Forecasts: Ensure transparency and make informed decisions by comparing our forecasts directly with the ISO's net demand predictions.
- Solar and Wind Generation Forecasts: Our forecasts leverage site-specific wind generation data for more accurate predictions of solar and wind energy generation.

SPP's Off-Peak Wind Problem
SPP struggles predicting wind during off-peak times, but Amperon's wind predictions provide accurate information for both peak and off-peak. For the off-peak hours between September 1 and September 5, Amperon's forecasts were consistently able to predict the higher wind generation, with September 5 at 4:00 AM being 76% more accurate than the ISO.
SPP and a lot of ISOs around the country seem to be breaking energy demand records left and right. With the electrification of the grid and changing demand patterns, it's important to have the most up-to-date and user-friendly forecasts to combat these growing challenges.
